Sibel gained her undergraduate degree in psychology from Heidelberg University in Germany. She is currently working at the Heidelberg Institute for International Conflict Research e.V. with a particular focus on cultural conflicts within society. In addition, she is also in charge of various advisory committees in areas such as migration and social policy. Sibel endeavours to strengthen the link between research and actual practice regarding migration. Her interests lie principally within the area of ethnic diversity and how this positively impacts the wider population and the core role of culture in society.
