Paul received his undergraduate degree in Government from the University of Manchester, England, as well as an M.A. in Politics and Public Policy. He entered Princeton in the fall of 2006 to pursue an M.P.A. from the Woodrow Wilson School with particular focus on the politics of inequality. Three aspects of inequality particularly interest him: First, the relationship between personal autonomy/job content and social inequality ; second, interventions which might help low-paid workers to begin thinking in terms of job ladders; and thirdly, studying the impact of inequality and immigration on voters. Paul has been a major advisor to the Labour government in the field of environment and local government.
